In ViGIE 3 you can create a journey for a sensor in 3 different ways: In the Transport section (Sensors, Journeys or Occurrences), in the Sensor View and through the ViGIE 3 App. In this article, we will describe the possible ways to create a journey using the ViGIE 3 App.

Using the ViGIE 3 app, you can create a journey in two ways: by scanning the sensor's QR code or by filling in the information manually.

To create a journey through the ViGIE 3 app using the QR code, go through the following steps:

Step 1: Access the ViGIE 3 app, using the same credentials as you used to access the web platform.

Step 2: Select the Transport (vehicle) icon.

Step 3: Click on the QR Code button at the top of the screen.

Step 4: Scan the sensor's QR code.

Step 5: Select the Start journey option.

Step 6: A window will open to create the journey. The sensor and the start date of the journey have already been filled in, considering which sensor corresponds to the QR code scanned and the date and time the scan was carried out. If necessary, edit the information filled in automatically. 

Step 7: Enter the start and end location and a possible description for the journey (optional). If you already know the date and time the journey will end, you can also fill in the relevant field.

Step 8: Click on the Start journey button.

Example of how to create a journey in the ViGIE 3 app using the QR code:

To create a journey through the ViGIE 3 app manually (without using the QR code), go through the following steps:

Step 1: Log in to the ViGIE 3 app, using the same credentials you used to access the web platform.

Step 2: Select the Transport (vehicle) icon.

Step 3: Click on the + icon. A window will open to create the journey.

Step 4: Select the sensor for which you want to create the journey.

Step 5: Enter the start and end date, the start and end location and a possible description for the journey.

The start date of the journey is mandatory for creating a new journey. The end date, start and end location and description are optional fields.

Step 6: Step 6: Click on the Start journey button.
