In ViGIE we can create a new user by cloning their permissions and configurations from an existing user. This allows to automate the user creation of identical profile permissions and responsibilities within ViGIE.

To clone a user from an existing one, go through the following steps:

Step 1: In the main menu, on the left side, click on Users Management.

Step 2: Click on the New User button.

Step 3: Fill in the user's details.

The fields First Name, Last Name, Email, Language, Country and Time Zone are required.
The fields Phone Number and Cost per hour are optional, as well as the user's image.

Step 4: Click Copy configurations from.

Step 5: Select the user from whom you wish to clone. Click Copy and confirm by clicking in Proceed.

This action will copy the selected user permissions and associate them with the user being created. These permissions cannot be changed.

Step 6: On the new user form click on Next and check the user newly associated permissions.

Step 7: At the end click on Create User.

The new user created will receive an email with the credentials to access the ViGIE portal.

Beware that this functionality will not only copy and clone the user permission it will also copy its configurations such as:
- Dashboards & Public displays
- Alerts of
    - Alarms
    - Communication failures
    - Batteries
    - Calibration notifications
- Programmed reports
- Shifts
