What is an occurrence associated with a journey? How are occurences classified?

At the end of a trip, the ViGIE system analyses the data that was collected by the sensors during the journey. If the percentage (%) of data collected by the sensor in the alarm zone is equal to or greater than the data threshold configured in the alarms, the ViGIE system will generate an occurrence associated with the journey.

To be able to generate an occurrence if there is a deviation from what is acceptable, alarms must be configured for the relevant transport sensors. Click here to find out how to configure or edit the alarm settings of a sensor.

Occurrences can be categorised in 2 ways:

  • Warning occurrence: A warning occurrence is generated when the percentage (%) of data collected by the sensor in the alarm zone is equal to or greater than the data threshold configured in the alarms to generate an occurrence and the values outside the acceptable zone are exclusively in the warning alarm zone.

  • Critical occurrence: A critical occurrence is generated when the percentage (%) of data collected by the sensor in the alarm zone is equal to or greater than the data threshold configured in the alarms to generate an occurrence and one or more of these values are in the critical alarm zone.
