How to create a journey using the web platform?

In ViGIE 3 it is possible to create a journey for a sensor in 3 different ways: In the Transport section (Sensors, Journeys or Occurrences), in the Sensor View and by the ViGIE 3 App. In this article, we will describe the possible ways to create a trip using the web platform.

To create a journey from the Transport section, go through the following below:

Step 1: In the main menu, on the left side, click on Transport.

Step 2: Choose the option Sensors, Journeys or Occurrences.

Step 3: Click on + New journey.

Step 4: Select the sensor for which you want to create the journey.

Step 5: Enter the start and end date, the start and end location and a possible description ofthe journey.

The start date of the Journey is a mandatory field to create a journey. The end date, start and end location and description are optional fields.

Step 6: Click on the Save button.

To create a journey using the Sensor View, go through the following these steps:

Step 1: In the main menu, on the left side, click Transport.

Step 2: Choose the Sensors option. This will open a page containing a list of the transport sensors you have access to.

Step 3: Find out the transport sensor you want to create a journey. For that, you can use the filters available at the top of the page or use the search bar.

Step 4: Click on the transport sensor. A side window will open, the Sensor View.

Step 5: Select the Journeys tab of the Sensor View.

Step 6: Click on the + Journey button.

Step 7: Enter the start and end date, the start and end location and a possible description of the journey.

The start date of the Journey is a mandatory field to create a journey. The end date, start and end location and description are optional fields.

Step 8: Click on the Save button.
