Before archiving a sensor, please note the following conditions:

Archiving a sensor is an irreversible action.

From the moment the sensor is archived, it will not receive any more data and will not generate any type of alarm or alert. However, the data until the archive date will remain available on ViGIE 3.

The settings that the sensor has at the time it is archived, will be saved and cannot be changed.

All parameters of an archived sensor are removed from the Dashboards, Public Display and Programmed Reports.

To archive a sensor, go through the following steps:

Step 1: Select the sensor you want to archive. For that, select the sensor in the sensors tab of your dashboard or go to the Locations section and find and click the sensor you want to archive. The Sensor View will open.

Step 2: Select the General tab of the Sensor View.

Step 3: At the bottom of the page, find the Archive sensor section and click the expand option.

Step 4: Click on Archive.

Step 5: If the sensor has any unvalidated alarms, you will need to validate all existing alarms by entering a comment or selecting a pre-defined comment. Then, click on the button Next.

Step 6: Click on Archive.
