How to configure shifts?

When configuring shift(s) there are some details that need to be taken into consideration:

• Shift configuration is reserved to ViGIE3 Administrators.
• It is not possible to configure a shift for past dates.
• The shifts can have multiple users assigned.
• The shifts can have recurrence, meaning that a certain repetition can be defined.
• The recurrent shifts can have an end date or they can be redefined every year.

To configure a shift go through the following steps:

Step 1: In the main menu, on the left side, click Users Management and then select the sub option Shifts.

Step 2: Use the buttons on top of the calendar to view the timeframe desired on a day, week or month view.

Step 3: To create a new shift you can:

• Click on the '+New shift' button on the top right corner of the calendar.
• Click on a section of the calendar.
• Select a section of the calendar.

Step 4: Either way, a modal to configure the shift will be open:

• Define the interval of the shift.
• Define the users to be assigned of that shift.
• Define the shift recurrence

Option 1: Never - single shift does never repeat.

Example of a shift that Never repeats:

 Option 2: Daily - shift will repeat every X days.

Example of a shift that repeats Daily:

 Option 3: Weekly - shift will repeat every X weeks and defined the days of the week where it would happen.

Example of a shift that repeats Weekly:

            Option 4: Monthly - shift will repeat every X months on a particular day of the month.

Example of a shift that repeats Monthly:

• For Daily, Weekly and Monthly recurrences, it can be defined a date until which the shift will be repeated. In case this date is not defined the shift will be automatically renewed every year.

At the end of this process the user can verify the newly created shift in the calendar and click on it to view its details.
