To change the batteries in an ELTEK transmitter, you will need:

  • 1 medium/small star-shaped key
  • 1 pointed object/tool (e.g. 1 Clip)
  • 4 AA 1.5V batteries (6 AA batteries for GD43E models), non-rechargeable

Note: If the equipment has external probes, it is not necessary to disconnect them from the equipment.

Please go through the following steps:

Step 1: Switch off the transmitter. For that, press, with the pointed tool, the internal button located at the back of the device for a few seconds (until the top led flashes 5 times). After this moment, remove the pointed object and check that the display information is in the "OFF" state.

Step 2: Unscrew the screws on the bottom of the device. Keep them.

Step 3: Remove the cover.

Step 4: Remove the batteries holder.

Step 5: Disconnect the battery holder from the connection terminal as shown in the picture below.

Step 6: Replace the batteries.

It is necessary to leave the equipment without power for about 1 minute so that it is completely discharged and there are no malfunctions during start-up. You should wait about 1 minute without reconnecting the battery holder.

Step 7: Reconnect the battery holder to the connection terminal. Observe the automatic restart on the display (you should see the device version and serial number).

Step 8: Place the battery holder into the transmitter.

Step 9: Put the cover on and tighten the screws.

Step 10: Connect the external probe (if applicable).

Step 11: Observe, on the device display, the current measurement parameters of each channel.
